Michi-no-Eki Madeikan
(Roadside Rest Area)
Madeikan was constructed as a community hub and symbol of reconstruction after local people became able to return to Iitate Village, following the lifting of evacuation orders. The facility includes a convenience store, a corner selling local specialty products and agricultural produce, and more. Beautiful hanging baskets full of flowers hang down from the ceiling to greet visitors.
