Shurijo Castle Park

Built on a limestone hill approx. 130 meters high, Shurijo Castle was the once dignified center of the ancient Ryukyu Kingdom and is also the largest castle (Gusuku) in Ryukyu. This UNESCO World Heritage Site is a must-see place for anyone interested in Okinawan history.

Shurijo Castle Park is now fully open.
Shurijo Castle Seiden is under reconstruction and scheduled to be reopened to the public on November 23, 2026.

Hoshinmon Gate, Yohokoriden, Agari no Azana (Paid Admission Area)
